Im totally down for supcom 2.
And SoaSE: Diplomacy/that other one.
I bought them the other day.
I still need the updates from you chris.. Remember when I gave you my key >.>

Supcom2 (from the Demo only since that's all I've played) is a steaming pile of shit that you should want to stay away from, though I will be willing to try the full version and see if that's any better, assuming someone has a cracked version - no I'm not getting it, fuck you.

And yes yes, mine are updated I believe. Either way I'll double check just before the LAN. And yeah, I'll buy you the original since your key is tied to my account, once you get decent net lol :D

Mmm.
I just want the updates for all 3 games.
Especially diplomacy.

Games we should play (Cos we're gonna get bored eventually lol)
AvP
BF2
Supcom1/2
STARCRAFT.
War 3.
Section 8.
etc.
I don't stop.
I won't stop.
I will never stop until I hear the crack.

DOW II (needs online live as far as i know)
Supcom 2 (does not have any work offline LAN at this stage needs online live)
BFBC2 (have to b e logged in to access mufti player menus)

Games i need checked
COH (don't you need to be logged in)
AVP (i did not think that had LAN mode)

Shattered horizons i need to get a dedicated server working for that

Please correct me if any of this is not correct

DoWII - You do need to be signed in, either Online or Offline will work. This is legit I'm talking here, cracked I wouldn't know nor care.

SupCom2 - No thanks.

BF:BC2 - Sounds about right, but if you did grant us sufficient internet privileges it would be an epic game to play, since it's not like regular BF games where you need at least 20 people to have a half decent game, thanks to Squad Rush and Squad Deathmatch, with a player limit of 8 for Rush and 16 for Deathmatch. Though I don't even know if this has LAN play..

CoH - Yes you need to be logged into Relic Online OR have a physical disk/working mini-image.

AvP2010 - Afaik it doesn't have LAN, and barely even dedicated server support (it's what, still in the Beta stages how many months after release?).

Shattered Horizons - I'd really love to play this, it really is a fun game, and it's only $20 on Steam! *nudge nudge wink wink*

That post of mine was really just me telling you to fix your games list because there are things there that simply don't work on LAN

Except for AvP, BC2 and SupCom2 they DO work via LAN. The only thing stopping is the current LAN setup. So the others are entirely valid options.

EDIT: List edited to remove the above games. Others still stand due them having LAN play; one way or another. If they don't work, it's due to limitations of the LAN.

I allow steam to access the net at the LAN but that costs me enough as it is (even more when there are updates)
So if you want full net (live wants port 80 on TCP) you/someone will have to pay for it

Tell people to make sure that they update everything before LANs then. Tell them to RUN every game BEFORE the LAN.

Just an fyi, Steam updates aren't compulsory, only the game ones are for multi alone, in case you people didn't know this already.

Then that's people's stupidity. If they're using too much net due to downloads they didn't do before coming to the LAN, cut them off it.

I haven't come across any patches that came out during the LAN...

Quote from: what should be put on the forums so everyone knows this
Event page: In the off chance updates for any Steam games that may be played at the LAN come out only a few hours before the event, would you please refuse the update for now and run Steam in offline mode until you have left the LAN. This way, we do not have compatibility issues between people who bothered to check if there was an update and the lazy arses who didn't.

Thank you, have a nice day.

Done.
